Minutes from user group meeting:
Welcome by Riesa
Introduction by Fred
  o Background
o Explain the six core objectives
o Introduction of the 8 members of the user group
Justin’s questions
o What has the user group provided to you in the past that has been beneficial to you?
-In person and phone conferences, the website
-Sessions, getting together with other people in same line of business with similar uses of Dialogue
-Virtual conference was great from a cost perspective, but networking is lacking
-Session content seems to be more Exstream driven versus user driven
o What are some of the things that the user group has provided that has not been beneficial to you?
-What has the user group done/will do differently for the members?
-Do you have weight with HP Exstream?
     -Fred -
•Take all feedback and try to get results for it
•Communication is needed on an ongoing basis
•What issues are being dealt with by HP?
•Ensure HP is listening presented by user group, and then communicated back out to user group at large.
-Complaints are poor or lack of communication from user group
-Needs to be a way for the user committee to know that the exec user group took all of the information back to HP, and what the results were of HP reviewing it
-Need good notes from the sessions, recording meetings leads to opportunity to create good minutes from sessions
-Concern of ability to speak up without retribution from HP Exstream
-Need to be able to speak freely, but not to stifle people’s participation
     -Justin -
          • User group to talk to HP as a group and make them understand feedback is coming from a group as a whole
          • Feedback from a broad collection of users versus one whiny guy
          • Website traffic has slowed down from where it was a couple years ago
     -Justin -
          • Website may get an overhaul, it’s up, it works, forums not very active, don’t know if answers are helping or not since not everyone returns
          • About 10 are consistent, frequent users of the website
o What are some things you would like to see new for the user group?
-Has user group considered coming up with a top 10 list of feedback collected from past user group sessions, and taking list and circle back with users on the community, decide if this should be target goal for next year?
     -Fred
          • Status of an outstanding issues list
          • Enhancements list, prioritize and rank, present to group
-Prior minutes are on the website
-Top 5 or 10 strong issues, feedback from group to back up these issues
-This should be the focus of future meetings
-What are lessons learned from the past?

Discussion of Product road map and strategy for future of HP Exstream
o Rework of PPML emitter specifically or HP Indigo.
Discussion of Electronic Delivery
Discussion of Dialogue as a messaging engine
-How do we take our documents and integrate that into a Dialogue solution
-Exstream is interested in helping people pursue these options
     -Concern about transmitting documents?
-Are people ever going to want to see a transactional document?
-How are people going to be wanted to be communicated to in the future?
-What are all of the possibilities?
-People to choose their level of communication and level of detail
-DXF to open up possibilities of a foundation
-DXF as a placeholder variable emitter at run time
-DXF has a lot of potential for electronic delivery
-Exstream needs to have better support for DXF

Open discussion
o Email all requests regarding the user conference sessions to hpexstream09 [hpexstream09@hp.com]
o Problem with HP.com website to get to an area to download updates, hard to navigate
o Worst experience with the website in regards to support
o HP needs to go to normal user conference as in the past
o User conference un-engaging this year
o Download site never had the current release, need to contact support to put it on an FTP site
o User conference – hard to search for sessions, very confusing
o Flip back and forth between agenda and a list of sessions
o Who else in the session?  How to view the roster?
o Virtual doesn’t seem to be popular since you can’t network, seems to impersonal, but is good from a cost perspective
o Need a open chat room for a virtual conference
o Some companies have firewall issues and can’t access any chat sessions, need a listing of what settings need to be in advance to get an exception
o Minimum requirements to utilize virtual requirements
o No printed marketing materials sent out ahead of time
o Want webinars with more technical content. Ralph Sampson (DST) will post list.
o Would like more information in EAM -> webinar topic
